Women & Children @ Zowe
The African ministries aim is to link communities in the United States and
Africa to labor together. The initiative is a partnership between
Giving
Heart Ministries, Inc.  and a team of  Eastern University faculty and
students.  This partnership was born out of  the mutual desires of "laboring
together" with developing nations toward sustainable development
strategies and living the Gospel of Christ in the world.

One of our objectives is to raise funds for improving the livelihoods of
people in selected communities in developing African nations.  Many of
these communities are agrarian; they depend on their land, forests, and
bodies of water to produce enough food and to earn income.  One of our
fund raising efforts includes recycling used printer cartridges.  In doing so
we not only are able to raise funds to improve the livelihoods of people in
African nations but also we make a positive impact on our local
environments.

Another objective is to help students construct a global perspective that
includes knowledge, commitments, and compassionate actions needed
to live wisely in a world with limited resources. This global perspective
involves viewing the world with understanding, concern, and a desire to
work towards helping others who are underprivileged.  We are currently
working with five schools and two churches. We hope to double this
number in the coming year.  If you are interested in information on how to
become one of these schools, churches, organizations or individuals

email us
today.  We would happily get you information on how you and/or
your organization can help in this
initiative.
